OPEN HOUSE: New Curator Welcome!

Join WCHS on Tuesday, November 19 from 4:30-7:00pm as we host an informal, drop-in Open House for new curator Hannah King. Meet Hannah, visit the new Six Feet Under exhibit, and enjoy coffee and cookies in our Activity Room (2001 Hwy 25 N, Buffalo, MN).

This casual event is free, open to the public with no RSVP required.

A quick note from Hannah:

“Hello, everyone! I’m Hannah King, the new Curator & Volunteer Coordinator with the Wright County Historical Society. I am still settling in after a few weeks on the job, but I am already excited about all the new projects I get to work on. I have met many wonderful coworkers, volunteers, and members and I look to forward to meeting even more of you. The museum will be hosting an open house where you can drop in to meet me and view the new Six Feet Under exhibit in the main gallery. Come join us for refreshments on Tuesday, 11/12 from 5:30-7:30pm.

Before coming to Wright County, I was the Curator/Researcher at the Stevens County Historical Society in Morris, MN for 3 ½ years. I loved the work I was doing and the small community but was ready for a job that was more focused and closer to family. I am originally from Wisconsin, living in Melrose (my hometown), Madison, and Milwaukee before moving to Minnesota. I have a background in history and anthropology and have been working in museums since 2012. I am so happy to have found a position that meets so many of my professional and personal goals.

Thank you for welcoming me into your community. I hope to meet each of you soon.”
